The Plain Text of AI
Welcome to my new Podcast, The Plain Text of AI! (Scroll down for the transcripts.) The first episode is live on Apple, Spotify, YouTube, and Amazon.
My interest in AI began when I started wondering: How do we actually prepare data for Tableau’s agentic AI?
Before diving straight into the deep technical details of data mapping, semantics, and data lineage in the upcoming "Shaping Data for AI" podcast, I wanted to step back. In the initial episodes, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about AI foundations so far.
I’m not yet sure how much of this background theory will apply directly to Tableau’s specific agentic AI implementation as it rolls out, but the concepts are fascinating—and essential to understand—even if we don't end up using every single piece inside Tableau itself.
Jump Ahead: Season 1 Scripts & Reading List
Because recording and editing take time (and I want to take my time to get the audio right! 😀), I’m making the finished scripts for the first topics available right now. If you want to read ahead of the podcast drops, here is what’s coming down the pipeline:
Part 1: AI Foundations
1.3 Agents and AEO
Part 2: Code, Syntax & Shaping
2.1 HTML and CSS
2.2 Markdown
2.3 Shaping Data
2.4 Python
Enjoy the first episode, and as always, let me know your thoughts as we explore this next chapter together!
