Florida AI Transparency & Disclosure Statement
Effective Date: January 10, 2026 Compliance Reference: Florida SB 482 / SB 1344 (Florida AI Bill of Rights)
1. Notice of Artificial Intelligence Interaction
In accordance with Florida Statutes § 501.9981, users are hereby notified that the IfThenWhy™ methodology is designed to be integrated into, or interact with, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs). While this website provides human-authored logic, any automated responses or logic-processing tools provided herein utilize generative technologies.
2. Right to Human Oversight (HITL)
Under the Florida Artificial Intelligence Bill of Rights, Florida residents have the right to know when a consequential decision is being made by an automated system.
The IfThenWhy™ Standard: We do not authorize the use of our framework for fully autonomous decision-making.
Mandatory Requirement: All implementers of the IfThenWhy™ logic are required to maintain a Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) to review and verify any AI-generated output before it is acted upon.
3. Data Privacy & De-identification
Consistent with the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR), we prioritize your data sovereignty:
No Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal identifying information (PII) to third-party AI developers for the purpose of model training.
Zero-Retention Policy: We advocate for and utilize "Zero-Retention" logic to ensure that your proprietary "Tribal Knowledge" is not ingested into public AI datasets.
4. Disclaimer of "Agent" Status
The IfThenWhy™ framework is a Passive Information Architecture. It does not possess "Agentic Agency." Cathy Young and the IfThenWhy™ platform do not act as a "Chatbot Operator" or "System Deployer" for your specific implementation.
Liability: Any party that connects this logic to a live API or customer-facing interface assumes the legal role of "Operator" under Florida law and is responsible for their own specific consumer disclosures.
